The main character. I couldn't stand Lelouch. I actually liked Guilty Crown quite a bit, it had the whole 'die a hero or live long enough to be a villain' feel to it. I understand some peoples feelings about Code Geass, but if I don't rate them at what I think my own personal enjoyment factor was, then when asking for recommendations, no one will have a clue what I like if I rate everything objectively.

I'm not saying you shouldn't go against the norm and rate things differently from how you feel! I was just very...surprised.

Well, I mean I didn't like him as a person. I just couldn't tolerate watching him. I understand that maybe sometimes I should try to detach myself from that sort of quirk, but for me, the, by far, most important aspect of a form of media is the main character, literally everything else about the thing could be 100% pure gold, top ten perfect, but if I don't like the mc, it ruins it all for me. Likewise, even if everything else is total drivel, completely cliche-ridden pomp, if I like the mc, I can thoroughly enjoy it.

Yea, although I enjoyed the show, it's one of my most used examples for things I don't like, mainly being the MC being treated like that, and then I always get into arguments about how that ISNT Tsundere because it is soooo much worse than tsundere

shu was better than lelouch lol wtf r u talkin abt abt everyone in the anime community likes lelouch cause he was enjoyable and very unpredictable character
he basically sacrificed himself by making everyone hate on him and saved the world
shu was utter crap as a mc he was annoying and wtf did he accomplish? guy wouldve been better as a mc than shu.look if u hate code geass and lelouch i respect that cause its ur opinion but to say shu is better than lelouch?lol its like saying fairytail was better than fate zero.

You respect their opinion unless their opinion is about a character? And you do realize that there are absolutely some people out there who will say that Fairy Tail IS better than Fate Zero, right?
